Dec. 07--One day after Derrick Rose wore a shirt during Saturday's pregame warm-ups that read 'I Can't Breathe' in reference to Eric Garner's July death, other athletes followed his example, protesting the grand jury decision to not indict the officers responsible.
Last week, St. Louis Rams players made the "hands up, don't shoot" gesture in support of the Ferguson protests.
Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush and Cleveland Browns safety Johnson Bademosi both wore shirts bearing the rallying cry during warm-ups Sunday.

In the NBA, LeBron James, who has been outspoken regarding social issues, praised Derrick Rose's decision to wear the shirt: "It was spectacular...I loved it. I'm looking for one."
If James does find a shirt and wear it before the Cavaliers' next game, it will be in Brooklyn Monday in front of a crowd that will include Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton.
