NFL moving to next phase of reopening team facilities

The NFL is taking the next step towards a full reopening of team operations at team facilities. The league communicated the next phase of reopening the league, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

On Monday, the customer-facing side of team operations (ticket sales, retail sales, among others) may open but only 50% of employees may be on staff at any time, with a maximum of 75 total.

Coaching staffs may be able to report next week as well, although a date for that return has not yet been determined.

The virtual offseason for players has also been extended two more weeks.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell says he’s hopeful the NFL can bring coaches back into their facilities as early as next week. The league is also extending the virtual offseason by two weeks. But preparing for an on-time regular season (and adjusting if necessary).

Things are not yet completely back to normal, but it is getting there. If things keep going at this rate, we will have training camp starting on time in July.
