The decision has been made and all 32 NFL teams had better be ready. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell sent out the memo below to every NFL team. The gist of it is, the draft is going to happen April 23-25 and teams need to be prepared to make their picks under very unusual circumstances.
All clubs should be doing the necessary planning to conduct Draft operations in a location outside of your facility, with a limited number of people present, and with sufficient technology resources to….communicate with other clubs and Draft headquarters.
Teams have not had the opportunity to do their typical work on prospects, especially when it relates to medical checks. This change to the process could force teams to make drastic changes to their draft philosophy, especially for players who have injury concerns.
