NFL Minute: The fallout of Robert Kraft’s impending arrest

Speculations have run rampant in regards to what the fallout may be for New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft in the wake of his solicitation of prostitution charges he is facing in Florida.

There are some who have even gone to the extreme of believing that the NFL should force Kraft to sell the team, much like the NBA did with former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling back in 2014.

Odds are that will never happen. In that instance, Sterling ceded the team to his wife who then facilitated the sale of the team to Steve Ballmer. Additionally, when Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay was suspended following DUI and drug charges, his daughter took control of the team.

So, if Robert Kraft was forced to sell the team would that mean his son Jonathan would be forced out too? That seems unlikely.

However embarrassing and rotten this set of circumstances are for the Patriots and the league, Tim Benz is willing to bet very little comes of it long-term.
