Recently, Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney II traveled to Florida to meet with disgruntled wide receiver Antonio Brown in hopes of “smoothing things over”.
Tim Benz, on the other hand, is hoping that was not the focal point of the meeting.
Benz believes that this is a relationship that cannot be repaired and the best course of action for the organization — and for Rooney — is to find the easiest and quickest way to facilitate a trade for the former Pro Bowler.
With Brown’s recent erratic behavior, Benz thinks that Rooney’s message to the wideout should be to quiet down your actions so we can fulfill your trade request or spend the season on the bench without getting paid like Le’Veon Bell did.
