NFL investigating 3 incidents involving Kareem Hunt

New Browns running back Kareem Hunt has been involved in three separate incidents involving violence over the last year.

Everyone knows the primary incident by now. The video of Hunt kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel led to the Kansas City Chiefs dumping him Nov. 30.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and others, the NFL is also investigating two other separate incidents involving Hunt and violent actions.

One of those incidents occurred at a Kansas City bar in January 2018. Hunt was part of a group of men accused of assaulting an intoxicated fellow bar patron. The victim identified Hunt as one of his assailants, but charges were never filed and the local police dropped the matter.

The third came from last summer at Put-in-Bay, a summer island tourist destination in Lake Erie. Per the Toledo Blade, Hunt allegedly punched another man at the resort. Charges were not filed in the case. The NFL obtained video from the resort, and that is being factored into the pending disciplinary action on Hunt. That video has not been made public.

Hunt remains on the commissioner’s exempt list until the NFL formally decides upon any suspension. No date has been set for any hearing. The Browns and GM John Dorsey are aware of all the incidents.
