Chargers All-Pro safety Derwin James suffers significant foot injury
The Chargers will be without star Derwin James indefinitely, as the second-year safety suffered a stress fracture in his right foot. Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said Friday that there is no timetable for James’ return, and the team does not yet know whether the injury requires surgery.

Ravens CB Tavon Young expected to miss season with neck injury
Young, who just signed a lucrative new deal with the Ravens in the offseason, is likely sidelined for the 2019 season.

Colts WR Daurice Fountain suffers serious ankle injury in joint practice
Fountain was carted off the field during a Colts-Browns practice on Thursday with a dislocated and fractured ankle. Fountain led the Colts with five receptions for 63 yards in the team’s first preseason game.
