NFL great Terry Bradshaw sells his 12-acre Hawaiian estate for $2.7 million

Jan. 15--The Hawaiian estate of Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw proved to be one coveted free agent. The home in Kamuela, a northern town on Hawaii's Big Island, went from sale to closed in two weeks and sold for the asking price of $2.7 million.

It's a solid return for the 67-year-old Bradshaw, who bought the estate two years ago for $1.85 million.

Set on close to 12 acres, the Plantation-style house in the Summit section of gated Kohana Ranch was built in 2005 and is reached by a winding driveway.

The single-story floor plan has a formal entry with a waterfall feature, a great room with vaulted ceilings, a formal dining room and an updated eat-in kitchen. Five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms are within about 4,600 square feet of open-plan space.

A screened patio, accessed by sliding walls of glass, opens to newly landscaped grounds featuring a 60-foot lap swimming pool, two koi ponds, gardens and rolling lawns.

Adjacent to the main house, a guest casita adds another bedroom en suite and a private lanai.

Panoramic views of the ocean, Maui and Big Island mountains complete the tropical setting.

Michele Paape of MacArthur Sotheby's International Realty was the listing agent.

Bradshaw piloted the Pittsburgh Steelers to four championships in 14 seasons with the team, twice winning Super Bowl MVP. The Hall of Fame quarterback has worked as an analyst on "Fox NFL Sunday" for the last two decades.
