In the NFL, dogs went 10-5 ATS in Week 5. Tampa Bay, Cleveland and Oakland were big road dogs that came up with easy outright wins. In Week 6, the Steelers visit the Ravens, Minnesota visits the New York Giants and Dallas hosts Green Bay.
*Baltimore has major issues on defense after allowing 40 points to the Browns at home last week and 33 the week before to the Chiefs. Pittsburgh is not as explosive, but they’ll rely on the run and their defense in this one. That formula worked on Monday night against Cincinnati. Expect a low-scoring, hard-hitting battle as usual. Take the Steelers and the points.
*Don’t look now, but the New York Giants may have a football team. They have the same record as the disappointing Minnesota Vikings at 2-2. But rookie Daniel Jones faces his toughest test against a real defense. He threw two picks last week against Washington. Not a good sign. Kirk Cousins will actually have time to throw this week. Lay the points on the road with the Vikes.
*Green Bay lost in primetime last Thursday to the Eagles at home, while Dallas fell on Sunday night to the Saints on the road. The Packers are banged up and a little extra rest might not be enough. Phllly’s line dominated them last week and they’ll see another very good line this week. Lay the points with Dallas.
