Kyle Shanahan has acquired another former Falcons player. According to their team website, the 49ers have signed Ben Garland to a one-year deal.
Garland played for the Air Force before signing with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent. He was on and off Denver’s practice squad for the next few years before he landed with the Falcons.
In addition to Garland, San Francisco also signed former Atlanta running back Tevin Coleman earlier this offseason. Assuming Jimmy Garoppolo plays a full season, the Niners offense should post much better numbers than it did in 2018 when they finished No. 21 in scoring.
