NFL fans were yelling at the Jets to sign Carli Lloyd after brutal day for their kicker

The New York Jets jumped out to a 16-0 lead over the Buffalo Bills in Sunday’s season opener at MetLife Stadium… and then lost, 17-16.

Classic Jets.

A big problem for the team was its kicker, Kaare Vedvik, who the Jets picked up last week after he was cut by the Minnesota Vikings.

Vedvik had a brutal debut as he missed both of his kicks – an extra point hit the goalpost and then his 45-yard FG attempt sailed way, way right.

The Jets could have used those four points.

NFL fans and media members had an idea for the Jets: bring in USWNT star Carli Lloyd, who went viral last month for hitting a 55-yard FG during an Eagles practice:
