With Cris Collinsworth and Al Michaels officially split up as a NFL broadcasting duo, football fans have been in open mourning over the loss of the “Collinsworth slide”.

If you haven’t heard, the 2022 NFL season has brought new broadcasting crews into the mix with Amazon taking over Thursday Night Football duties. Collinsworth still remains with NBC while Michaels has moved to Amazon alongside Kirk Herbstreit to be the voice of the NFL’s Thursday night schedule.

During the first Thursday Night Football game of the football calendar, NFL fans got their first look at Michaels without Collinsworth by his side. Safe to say, it was a weird sight.

Michaels looks so lonely! The unusual sight and sad lack of a “Collinsworth slide” had many NFL fans devastated beyond belief.
