NFL fans suggest new names for the Washington Redskins

Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder is on record as saying he’ll “never” change the name of his team, but after stadium sponsor FedEx requested that the “team in Washington” change it’s name, the pressure on Snyder has never been higher.

With a major sponsor making a public statement on the issue, and federal officials ruling out a relocation to a new stadium in D.C. unless there’s a name change, there’s never been a better time for Snyder to reconsider his stance.

This debate has been going on for years, and there’s already been plenty of thought put into what a rebrand could look like in Washington. After news of FedEx’s request broke, football fans on social media sounded off on the best options for a new team name, from “Redtails” to “Monuments.”
