NFL fans ripped Jason Garrett and the Cowboys after Brett Maher missed another FG

The Dallas Cowboys’ struggles have been well documented over the past few weeks, as their two-game skid heading into tonight’s game in Chicago has been filled with a number of ugly mistakes by players and coaches.

Included in that has been their kicking game. Brett Maher missed two kicks in the losslast week to the Buffalo Bills, which led to the team bringing in three different kickers this week for workouts.

In the end, Jason Garrett and Co. opted to stick with Maher, who then went out and missed his first FG attempt Thursday night in Chicago.

This one was a 42-yard attempt – his NFL-leading 10th missed FG this season – and it didn’t go over well with frustrated fans:

The Brett Maher thing really is its own inexcusable transgression for Jason Garrett.

He knowingly not only continues to trust him but did so after trying out three other options.
