NFL fans rightly crushed Jon Gruden after the Raiders’ wild loss to the Dolphins

The last four minutes or so of Saturday night’s Dolphins-Raiders game were absolutely bananas and it all ended with two certainties – Miami pulled off an incredible victory thanks to some wild Fitzmagic and Jon Gruden made a boneheaded decision that cost his team a win.

After falling behind by a point with less than two minutes to go, Las Vegas had the ball at second-and-goal from the Dolphins’ 6-yard line. Gruden and the Raiders then decided to not go for a TD on either second or third down, choosing instead to eat up the clock and settle for a short field goal that gave them a one-point lead.

It was very conservative move that instantly came back to cost the Raiders dearly as the Dolphins used a long pass and a stupid penalty on the Raiders to get into field goal range and win it, 26-25, with just a second left on the clock.
