NFL fans had fun ripping the Miami Dolphins for signing Ryan Fitzpatrick

The Miami Dolphins have needed a starting quarterback since trading Ryan Tannehill to the Tennessee Titans on Friday.

Well, now they apparently have their man, as they signed Ryan Fitzpatrick to a two-year deal on St. Patrick’s Day, which seems fitting.

What doesn’t seem fitting, however, is bringing in a 36-year-old, journeyman QB to be your No. 1 guy. I can’t imagine Dolphins fans are rushing out to get season tickets after this big signing.

Fitzpatrick has had some “Fitzmagic” over the years, but they’ve all seemed to be flash in the pan type moments.

But the Dolphins were happy enough to give him a bunch of money to help lead the struggling franchise for the next two years.

Now he heads to his third AFC East team, as he’s been with the Jets and Bills before, and the internet had some jokes at the Dolphins’ expense:
