NFL fans had a lot of jokes about Nick Foles standing on the sideline

Nick Foles was just trying to help the Jacksonville Jaguars from the sideline while Gardner Minshew continued his glorious breakout season on Thursday Night Football in Week 3. But Twitter wouldn’t Foles him rest.

Foles is on injured reserve for a broken clavicle, and wasn’t playing against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday. The NFL Network broadcast cut to Foles after an impressive drive by Minshew in the second half, and the camera showed Foles, wearing Jaguars gear and glasses. No big deal, right? While the look was relatively unremarkable, NFL fans were ruthless.

It doesn’t help that Foles’ former backup, Minshew, is a total stud with a killer mustache and a fearless eye for fashion. (Minshew’s dad seems pretty awesome, too.)
