Over the past two seasons, Nick Foles has elevated himself into folk-hero status by leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl win and a deep playoff run in Carson Wentz’s absence.
He’s been great in the months of December, January and February. There’s no denying that. But the Jacksonville Jaguars are apparently willing to think that Foles can be PLAYOFF FOLES for an entire season. And they’re willing to pay Foles an obscene amount of money in the process.
According to USA TODAY Sports’ Mike Jones, Foles will sign a four-year, $88 million deal with Jacksonville when the league year starts on Wednesday.
EIGHTY-EIGHT MILLION.
I mean, good for Nick Foles, but the Jaguars aren’t playing the VAMP game efficiently here. NFL fans had plenty of jokes for Foles’ big pay day. There was a lot of concern about Jason Mendoza on NBC’s The Good Place.
