If this is truly it for Tom Brady, it has been quite an NFL career for the future Hall of Fame quarterback and that’s putting things mildly.
News broke that Brady would be soon officially announcing his retirement after 22 seasons in the NFL, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington.
He hasn’t officially announced his retirement yet because, per Schefter, he’s being careful not to “upstage the NFL’s postseason games or Super Bowl.” So we have no idea when the official announcement is coming. But it sounds like, once the season is officially over, we’ll get word one way or another on his future.

He didn’t quite make it to 50 years old in the league, but he got close enough at 44 and was still putting up numbers as if he were in the prime of his career.
Seven Super Bowl championships, 3 MVP awards, 15 Pro Bowl appearances and 624 touchdown passes later, he’s calling it a career. That’s not bad at all for the 199th pick in the draft.
Some fans from all across the internet took the time to reflect on and appreciate Brady’s career.
