NFL fans crushed the Redskins for agreeing to trade with Broncos for Case Keenum

The Washington Redskins have taken a step to fix their QB issues, as they agreed to a trade with the Denver Broncos on Thursday that will send Case Keenum to Washington.

Our friends at USA Today Sports have the details:

The Washington Redskins agreed Thursday to acquire Case Keenum from the Denver Broncos in a trade, a person with knowledge of the talks told USA TODAY Sports. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal could not become official the start of the new league year on March 13.

The Broncos will receive a sixth-round pick from the Redskins but also send back a seventh-round selection as part of the deal. Denver will also pay $3.5 million of the $7 million Keenum was guaranteed for 2019.

The Broncos, of course, signed Keenum to a big deal last offseason thinking he’d be the missing piece the team needed in order to turn things around. Well, he wasn’t and now Denver will lean on Joe Flacco.

The Redskins, meanwhile, have had serious issues at QB ever since Alex Smith went down with a gruesome leg injury last season and whose status is uncertain for this upcoming season.

But Twitter were not impressed with the Keenum addition.
