I don’t know how he does it, but Carson Wentz always finds a way to outdo himself with awful turnovers. Just when you think he just had the worst play of his career, he’ll come back with a mistake two weeks later that makes you say, “OK, that’s the worst play Went has ever had.”
Well, it happened again on Sunday.
With the Colts tied with the Titans late in the fourth quarter and just outside their own end zone, Wentz found himself staring down multiple Titans pass rushers on a slow-developing play. Wentz knew he couldn’t take a sack in his own end zone, so in desperation, he sort of threw the ball up and hoped for the best.
That plan went just about as poorly as it could have gone.
