NFL fans couldn’t believe struggling cornerback Xavier Rhodes was named as a Pro Bowl replacement

Congratulations to Xavier Rhodes, the Minnesota Vikings cornerback who was named as a Pro Bowl replacement along with four of his teammates, including Kirk Cousins.

But, let’s be honest: Rhodes didn’t have a good year. Actually, he had a REALLY awful season. Per Pro Football Focus, among the 120 cornerbacks who played 300-plus snaps, only SIX had lower PFF grades than Rhodes. In 15 games, he didn’t end up with a single interception and forced just one fumble.

So, yeah. There are a lot of people scratching their heads about why Rhodes made it, and here’s some of the reaction on Twitter:

Last year MVP Mitch, this year Xavier Rhodes. At what point do we change the name of the Pro Bowl to "who wants to come to Orlando free of charge game?" So bad. Teams need to do away with Pro Bowl bonus, cause this system is broken.
