NFL facilities may begin to open beginning Tuesday, May 19

The Arizona Cardinals will be able to open up their team headquarters in Tempe beginning Tuesday, according to multiple reports. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell sent a memo to teams stating that on May 19, if local regulations allow it, teams may once again open their facilities.

It comes with a caveat. It is not open to players or coaches. Players and coaches may not return to work at team facilities until all teams can open their facilities.

For the Cardinals, if they choose to open again, it means some who work in football operations may return.

There are still restrictions.

They can only have up to 50 percent of the employees on site, not to exceed 75 total people.

Players currently undergoing medical treatment and rehabilitation may be at the facility.

Customer-facing workers, such as in retail operations, cannot yet return to the facilities.

The NFL is hoping to implement a plan in which a limited number of players may use facilities by next month.
