This month’s NFL draft will be based out of ESPN’s studios in Bristol, Conn., but the person announcing first-round picks will be doing so from his well-appointed home.
Commissioner Roger Goodell will announce the first 32 selections from his house, the NFL said Monday.
The draft, which runs from April 23-25, will be aired by ABC, ESPN and NFL Network. ABC will air its own prime-time telecast for Rounds 1-3, while NFL Network and ESPN will combine to offer the same broadcast for all seven rounds. The league said a limited number of television hosts will be allowed inside ESPN’s studios.
The league will hold a three-day fundraiser to benefit six coronavirus charities.
The draft was originally scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, though those plans were scuttled when the coronavirus made large gatherings impossible.
