Jameis Winston won’t be with the Tampa Bay Bucs anymore. The No. 1 overall pick in 2015 has been inconsistent and led to TB signing TB 12 — Tom Brady — in hopes of finding playoff success. How did the quarterbacks drafted in 2015 fare?
Trevor Siemian (Round 7)

The Denver Broncos drafted Trevor Siemian out of Northwestern. He was 13-11 as a starter for the Orange Crush. Siemian wound up with the New York Jets last season and was 0-1.
Brett Hundley (6)

Brett Hundley played college ball at UCLA and was taken by the Green Bay Packers in Round 6. The hope was he would develop into a solid backup for Aaron Rodgers. It didn’t pan out. He didn’t play until 2016 and wound up 3-6 as a starter in 2017. Hundley was with Seattle in 2018 and did not play. He turned up in Arizona last season and threw 11 passes in mop-up duty, completing three.
Bryce Petty (4)

The Jets drafted Bryce Petty (pictured, middle) out of Baylor into their unstable quarterback position. He played in 2016 and ’17, making seven starts and going 1-6. He was released by the Jets in 2018, claimed by the Dolphins and did not stick with the Fish.
Sean Mannion (3)

Sean Mannion (No. 14) has been with two teams since being chosen by the St. Louis Rams out of Oregon State. Mannion is currently a backup to Kirk Cousins in Minnesota. He has made two NFL starts, losing both.
Garrett Grayson (3)

Garrett Grayson played college ball at Colorado State and was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the third round. Drew Brees was entrenched in the Big Easy so Grayson could only hope to be a backup. It didn’t work out. He didn’t play in New Orleans, Denver or Atlanta despite spending time with all three teams in one form or another.
Marcus Mariota (1)

Marcus Mariota was the second overall pick out of Oregon by the Tennessee Titans. His career has been hampered by injury. Mariota was replaced by Ryan Tannehill during the 2019 season. Mariota was 29-32 as a starter in Tennessee and threw 76 TD passes against 44 picks. Mariota recently signed with the Oakland Raiders.
Jameis Winston (1)

Jameis Winston won a Heisman Trophy at Florida State and the Tampa Bay Bucs thought they had their franchise QB when they chose him first overall in 2015. However, Winston was consistently erratic, best exemplified by 2019 when he threw 30 picks and 30 TD passes. The team has moved on from him to 43-year-old Tom Brady. What’s next for the former Seminole?
