NFL Draft EDGE target Bradlee Anae gets another meeting with the Lions

Bradlee Anae was one of the best players in Senior Bowl week under the close tutelage of the Lions coaching staff. The Utah EDGE was universally cited as a “winner” of the week, and there was tangible chemistry between Anae’s game and how the Lions coaching staff played him.

That led to a meeting at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine a month later. Even though Anae’s athletic testing in Indianapolis wasn’t pretty, the Lions appear to still have keen interest in the Ute pass rusher. Mike Garafolo of NFL.com reports Anae had another meeting with the Lions recently, this one via a teleconferencing app.

Anae is generally projected as a third- or fourth-round talent after his underwhelming combine workout. If the Lions don’t address the position before their second selection in the third, expect Anae’s name to get strong consideration at that spot.
