The NFL draft is just eight days away and as the Philadelphia Eagles decide on wide receivers to target, the Birds could look to add some depth at running back.
With only Miles Sanders, Boston Scott and Elijah Holyfield on the roster, the Eagles could look to add some running back depth.
The Eagles don’t have a pick in every round but in case of some wheeling and dealing, we decided to project one running back from every round that the Eagles could target.
***

1. D’Andre Swift, Georgia
The 21-year-old Philadelphia native is a skilled route runner and has amazing hands out of the backfield (just three drops on 76 targets, per Pro Football Focus).
He’d be the perfect compliment to Miles Sanders without either player needing to worry about ego.

2. Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin
Taylor is a workhorse and the former Badgers star finished his college career as the No. 6 all-time leading rusher in the NCAA and the first player in history to rush for more than 6,000 yards in a three-year span instead of four.
Taylor finished in top 10 of Heisman Trophy voting three times, finishing sixth as a freshman, ninth as a sophomore and fifth as a junior.
During his final two seasons in Wisconsin (2018 and 2019) he was named a unanimous first-team All-American and recipient of the Doak Walker Award.

3. Zack Moss, Utah
Compared to Marshawn Lynch by some, Moss is a stud power back that could interest the Eagles as a change-of-pace back or a player who can share the backfield with Miles Sanders.
A Miami native related to Santana and Sinorice Moss, Zach led the Utes in 2019 with 235 carries for 1,416 yards (6.0 yards per carry) and 15 touchdowns.
That production earned Moss third-team Associated Press All-American honors and first-team all-conference honors as one of the nation’s top rushers.

4. Eno Benjamin, Arizona State
The shiftiest running back in the draft, Benjamin would be a quality addition for the Eagles.
In 2019, his touches were down, but Benjamin still earned a first-team All-Pac-12 selection his junior year with 253 carries for 1,083 yards (4.3 ypc) and 10 touchdowns.
He also added 42 receptions for 347 yards, for two touchdowns in 12 starts. Benjamin skipped the team’s 2019 bowl game to prepare for the draft.
5. A.J. Dillon, Boston College
Dillon is a workhorse who could definitely complement Miles Sanders and Boston Scott while giving the Eagles a punishing running back to help put teams away.
During his three-years at Boston College, Dillon had 845 carries for 4,382 yards and 38 touchdowns.
6. Lamical Perine, Florida
A top-10 rated running back, the former Florida Gators star is related to Jacksonville Jaguars star linebacker Myles Jack, as well as former Oklahoma and current NFL back Samaje Perine.
This season Perine led the Gators with 131 carries, 677 rushing yards, 5.2 yards per carry and six rushing TDs.
7. Patrick Taylor Jr., Memphis
A big-bodied back that can replace Jordan Howard, Taylor and 2019 Rams running back Darrell Henderson formed a potent one-two punch for the Tigers in 2017 and 2018. As a junior, Taylor carried the ball 214 times for 1,122 yards (5.4 average) and 16 touchdowns and caught 17 passes for 197 yards (11.6, two TDs).
