The NFL Draft is fast approaching with just over a week until the event gets underway.
Kansas City, the home of the reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs, is this year's Draft host with all the action taking place in a plaza outside the historic Union Station. It is the first time Kansas City has hosted an NFL Draft since the event was first held in 1936.
The most recent projections see C. J. Stroud and Bryce Young, the top quarterbacks in the Draft, among the top prospects, with NFL teams looking to add who they hope will be the next big talents graduating from college football. The Draft is due to begin on Thursday, April 27 at 8pm Eastern Standard Time, with the first round taking place on the first night.
All the top prospects will be picked on the first night with the second and third rounds being held on the Friday evening and the final four on the Saturday. The Carolina Panthers traded up to get the first pick from the Chicago Bears while the Houston Texans are the second team on the clock with the Arizona Cardinals, Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks, who traded up for the fifth pick from the Denver Broncos, making up the top five teams in the Draft.
The Draft's Friday action begins at 7pm ET while the Saturday rounds begin at 12pm ET. In the United States of America, the Draft is being broadcast in full on the cable networks ESPN and NFL Network, while ABC will also show the action on linear television and streaming platforms.
Sky Sports will be broadcasting the Draft in the UK in full with the action beginning on Thursday night with regular host Neil Reynolds hosting a 'Path to the Draft' programme before the action formally gets underway in Kansas City.
