NFL Draft 2019: Eagles to meet with star pass rusher Montez Sweat

Howie Roseman has been enamored with the pass rushers and defensive linemen available in the 2019 NFL Draft, and the Eagles GM will get an up close and personal look at the most impressive athlete who rushes the quarterback well. According to Alex Marvez of Sirius XM, the Eagles will have an official pre-draft visit with Mississippi State star pass rusher, Montez Sweat.

Sweat has been a riser in pre-draft mocks after destroying the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, clocking a 4.41-second 40-yard dash.

The 6-foot-6, 260-pound Sweat is a pass rushing dynamo and amassed 30 tackles for loss and 22.5 sacks during his two seasons at Mississippi State, before transferring from Michigan State. Sweat isn’t expected to be around when the Eagles select at No. 25 in the first round. Howie Roseman and company may have to get creative and move up if they feel Sweat is a match.
