This is getting boring at this point. The NFL continues to dominate when it comes to television ratings. If you had to guess how many spots in the top-10 rated sports broadcasts of 2019 (so far) belong to the NFL, what would you guess? Maybe seven, there were some good Final Four games, the NBA playoffs had some drama, the College Football Playoff Championship surely has to be in the top-10. Nope. It’s all NFL, all the time according to SportsMediaWatch.
Yea, the NFL isn’t going anywhere. Honestly, they should keep the top-10. It will be tough to lock down the top-11. Maybe the regular season kickoff game between the Bears and Packers could knock off Clemson v. Alabama. Maybe the Patriots opener on Sunday night against the Steelers could get close.
In any case, the NFL is still king. Even when its ratings dropped a few seasons ago, it still was the top-rated sports property. It continues to consolidate its power. The NFL continues to dominate the landscape. Anyone who said the NFL was in trouble a few years ago, doesn’t look too smart right now.
