NFL DFS Week 7: Banking on a Big Game From Jordan Love

It’s time to set your DFS lineups for the Sunday main slate. Today’s list includes players who will return value regardless of their salary. No game on the main slate has a total over 49 at SI Sportsbook. The highest total of the week is 48.5 and it belongs to the Chargers-Chiefs game. You’ll see a number of players from that game listed below. Don’t worry if you have to spend up -- we will be back Friday with values you can plug in. With six teams on bye this week and a lot of injuries as well, the DFS bargains article will be full of interesting and new options.

Quarterbacks

Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs

The Chiefs-Chargers game is the highest total of the Sunday slate at 48.5. No team has allowed more points to opposing quarterbacks than the Chargers, and Mahomes has passed for fewer than two touchdowns only twice in nine career matchups vs. the Chargers.

Jordan Love, Packers

Speaking of great matchups -- Jordan Love should also be in for a big day. No team has allowed more passing yards (1,715) than the Broncos or more passing touchdowns (14). Love has been mediocre as of late, but this matchup fresh off a bye should get the Packers passer back on track.

Justin Herbert, Chargers

The matchup isn’t great for Herbert on paper, but I’m betting on the rivalry to help boost him to another level of play. Despite a disappointing performance vs. the Cowboys on Monday, Herbert is still the DFS QB1 on a per game basis. In six career matchups vs. the Chiefs, Herbert has thrown fewer than two touchdowns or 236 yards only once.

Running Backs

Josh Jacobs, Raiders

The Bears have allowed the fourth-most DFS points to opposing runners this year. Not only that, but with Jimmy G questionable, we could see even more of Jacobs in the game plan. Jacobs’s best DFS finish of the year came with Aiden O’Connell under center.

Brian Robinson, Commanders

Brian Robinson leads this Commanders backfield and he is both a rushing and a receiving threat vs. a Giants team that has allowed the fifth-most points to opposing running backs this season.

Aaron Jones, Packers

Watch practice reports, as Jones has been dealing with an injury, but Jones recently told reporters this is the “best he’s felt.” A tasty matchup with the Broncos, who have allowed an average of 35.5 DFS points per game, which includes 12 touchdowns, is on tap.

Isiah Pacheco, Chiefs

Your Chiefs stack could include Pacheco who has become the clear leader of this backfield. We will also look at Jerick McKinnon for a value play in tomorrow’s article, as the Chargers have allowed the fourth-most receiving yards to running backs this year.

Wide Receivers

Cooper Kupp, Rams

What else is there to say about Kupp? He’s played in two games this season, and he’s the WR3 on a per game basis behind only Tyreek Hill and Keenan Allen. The matchup with the Steelers this week is excellent, as Pittsburgh has allowed the fourth-most DFS points per game to opposing receivers.

Marquise (Hollywood) Brown, Cardinals

Brown owns a 27% target share for the Cardinals, and he’s scored double-digit DFS points in four of six games played this season. The Seahawks have allowed an average of 38 points per game to opposing wideouts. That’s tied with the Chargers for the most allowed in the league.

DK Metcalf/Tyler Lockett, Seahawks

Lockett has the lower salary, so I lean slightly his way as he is running more routes than Metcalf, though he and Metcalf have the exact same air yards share, but either -- or both -- could go off on Sunday vs. a Cardinals secondary that has allowed the seventh-most DFS points and 9.72 yards per target to opposing wideouts this year.

Tight Ends

Travis Kelce, Chiefs

If you’re using Mahomes, you’ll want to pair him with his number one target. Kelce will be especially invested in the division rivalry with the Chargers.

Mark Andrews, Ravens

Andrews is the number two target for Lamar Jackson, and this week’s matchup with the Lions is favorable, as they have allowed the fifth-most DFS points to the position.

Luke Musgrave, Packers

Musgrave has the best matchup of the week, as no team has allowed more DFS points to the position than the Broncos. The salary is right, too.
