Devising the perfect Daily Fantasy Sports strategy for the NFL can be a challenge, which is why I'm here to assist.
On DraftKings, it's important to remember you're playing full-point PPR with bonuses if a player surpasses 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards or 100 receiving yards.
Here is my optimal lineup for Thursday's NFL Showdown $2.5 million Thursday Night Millionaire contest featuring the Jacksonville Jaguars and Cincinnati Bengals.
All prices listed are courtesy of DraftKings with a $50,000 budget, and you need at least one player from each team.
— Captain: RB Joe Mixon, Bengals ($16,500)
Mixon produced 181 total yards on 31 touches and three total touchdowns last October against Jacksonville at home. It's a gift to pair talent with opportunity with such a premium matchup.
— Flex: RB James Robinson, Jaguars ($9,400)
Running backs have an advantage on Thursday night because the short week forces a team to simplify everything. Cincinnati has allowed 31 receptions for 192 yards to opposing running backs in three games. Robinson is averaging five targets per game.
— Flex: WR Marvin Jones Jr., Jaguars ($8,600)
Jones has at least six receptions, 62 yards or a touchdown in every game this season and returns to where his NFL journey began.
— Flex: WR Tyler Boyd, Bengals ($7,400)
Rookie Ja'Marr Chase has everyone's attention, but it's Boyd who leads Cincy in targets with 19. I expect this to continue while Tee Higgins is sidelined.
— Flex: D/ST Bengals ($5,600)
Cincinnati's defense has produced at least three sacks in every game and the Jacksonville offensive line can't protect top overall pick Trevor Lawrence. The rookie signal-caller isn't afraid to sling it either, which has led to multiple interceptions every time out — he only had three games with multiple interceptions in his 40 career college starts.
— Flex: RB Carlos Hyde, Jaguars ($1,800)
I'm betting on Hyde to vulture a touchdown from Robinson eventually. He's averaging 5.0 yards per attempt and has had at least eight carries in two of three games.
