NFL DFS Week 14: Optimal Lineup

Devising the perfect Daily Fantasy Sports strategy for the NFL can be a challenge, which is why I’m here to assist.

On DraftKings, it’s important to remember you’re playing full-point PPR with bonuses if a player surpasses 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards or 100 receiving yards.

Here is my optimal lineup for Sunday’s $3.25 million Fantasy Football Millionaire contest, but can be utilized as a foundation in other games and platforms.

All prices listed are courtesy of DraftKings with a $50,000 budget.

These lineups have netted $165, so that leaves me $95 in the hole.

QB: Josh Allen, Bills ($7,800)

I expect Buffalo to bounce back in a big way after a disappointing loss to the Patriots. There’s almost no scenario where the Bills are competitive against Tampa Bay and Allen isn’t the main contributor.

RB: Alvin Kamara, Saints ($7,900)

Kamara lands the juiciest of matchups, facing the Jets in his first action since Week 9. Taysom Hill likely will vulture some rushing attempts and limit his upside in the passing game, but the absence of Mark Ingram (COVID-19) should even things out.

RB: Saquon Barkley, Giants ($6,000)

Barkley’s every-down utilization should insulate him from a bad game script, and the Chargers have allowed at least one touchdown to running backs in eight straight games.

WR: Ja’Marr Chase, Bengals ($6,900)

Last week was the first time since Chase’s freshman season in Baton Rouge he has gone two straight games without a touchdown. Tee Higgins has outshined the dynamic rookie recently, but it’s only a matter of time before he smashes again and the 49ers’ secondary is susceptible to giving up big plays.

WR: Mike Evans, Buccaneers ($6,600)

Evans has been superhuman at home this season. He has 337 yards on 23 receptions and eight touchdowns in the last four games at Raymond James Stadium.

WR: Emmanuel Sanders, Bills ($4,900)

Sanders hasn’t surpassed three receptions or 28 yards since Week 9, but Buffalo will need someone outside of Stefon Diggs to step up to keep pace with Tampa Bay.

TE: Austin Hooper, Browns ($3,400)

Both David Njoku (COVID-19) and Harrison Bryant (ankle) are sidelined and the Ravens have struggled against tight ends all season. They’ve allowed at least five receptions or a touchdown to the position in nine of 12 games.

FLEX: Jalen Guyton, Chargers ($3,400)

With Keenan Allen out, the Giants’ attention should shift towards Mike Williams, freeing up Guyton to make plays down the field.

DST: Carolina Panthers ($2,800)

Opposing defenses against the Falcons have produced 17 sacks and 10 interceptions in the last six games.
