NFL decides not to discipline Chiefs’ Tyreek Hill

The NFL will not suspend Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill under its personal conduct policy in a domestic violence case involving his 3-year-old son that occurred in March.

Kansas City suspended Hill a month later after a local television station aired a recording of a conversation between Hill and fiancee Crystal Espinal discussing the boy’s injuries.

After concluding its investigation, the Johnson County district attorney’s office said that it believed a crime went down, but declined to file charges against Hill or Espinal, saying that it could not determine who was responsible for the child’s injuries.

Hill will be able to attend the team’s training camp when it opens on July 26 and participate in all team activities.

It was uncertain how many games Hill would’ve been suspended if the NFL decided to go that route but it would’ve been huge as he has been a key part of the Chiefs offense the past few seasons.

He earned first-team All-Pro honors as a receiver after recording career highs of 87 receptions, 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2018.

His absence could’ve been a difference-maker when it comes to playoff implications, as the Chargers and Chiefs will be battling it out for the top spot in the AFC West division.

Los Angeles takes on Kansas City Week 11 in Mexico City and finally in Week 17 to conclude the 2019 season.
