NFL combine: Top WR prospects measurements are in

The Cleveland Browns and the rest of the NFL could be looking at a lot of top-tier talent at the wide receiver position in the upcoming NFL draft. The group has top-end prospects as well as more depth than is usual.

With the recent Super Bowl history showing that passing offense is vital, the influx of talent will be well-received (pun intended).

At the NFL combine, players get measured in a variety of ways. While size is not a skill, it can be a trait that helps make decisions.

Here are a few of the top names at the position and how they measured Thursday:

Garrett Wilson – 5’11 3/4″, 183 pounds, 32″ arm, 76 1/2″ wingspan, 9 7/8″ hands

Jameson Williams – 6’1 1/2, 179 pounds, 32 1/8″ arm, 75 7/8″ wingspan, 9 1/4″ hands

Chris Olave – 6′ 3/8″, 187 pounds, 31 1/8″ arm, 73 1/8 wingspan, 9 1/2″ hands

Drake London – 6’3 7/8″, 219 pounds, 33″ arm, 77 3/4″ wingspan, 9 1/2″ hands

Treylon Burks – 6’2″, 225 pounds, 33 1/2″ arm, 79 1/8″ wingspan, 9 7/8″ hands

Jahan Dotson – 5’10 5/8″, 178 pounds, 30 3/4″ arm, 74″ wingspan, 9 1/2″ hands

A lot of differences between the six noted above. There are big receivers, lean receivers and smaller guys. It will be interesting how each times in whatever drills they run at the combine. Only two receivers chose to take part in the bench press drill. As noted, Williams stated he would not be benching at his Pro Day either:

Stay tuned for more coverage live from Indianapolis and the NFL combine throughout the event.
