NFL combine to remain in Indianapolis through 2021

The city of Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium have become synonymous with the NFL combine, and that will be the case for a few more years.

The league announced Wednesday that the combine will remain in the city of Indianapolis through the year 2021, with options following. Colts owner Jim Irsay also said the on-field drills will be moved to prime time.

The scouting combine has become a major part of the pre-draft process. It is generally where the tests and measurements are done for the majority of prospects selected in the draft.

The combine is big not only for the league but also for the city of Indianapolis.

With the scouting combine set in location for the next few years, the city of Indianapolis will likely try to become the host for a draft in the near future as well.
