NFL combine: Rams prospect meetings tracker

The 2019 NFL combine is more than halfway over and the Los Angeles Rams are getting a good look at some of the top prospects in this year’s draft class. Defenders take the field on Sunday and Monday, which is the side of the ball the Rams are sure to be keeping a close eye on.

Here are some prospects they’ve already met with, all of which being on defense.

TCU DL L.J. Collier

Collier fits best in a 4-3 defense but could be a versatile player for the Rams. He could stand up and rush the passer as an outside linebacker, which is his most natural spot in a 3-4 front, but he could also put his hand in the dirt as a defensive end.

Florida OLB Jachai Polite

Polite may not make it to the Rams at No. 31 as he’s considered one of the best pass rushers in the class. He said his meeting with the Rams was his favorite and fits nicely in their 3-4 defense as an outside linebacker.

Mississippi State OLB Montez Sweat

Sweat is another candidate to be taken well before the Rams go on the clock, but he could slide if offensive players and quarterbacks rise. He would play outside linebacker for Wade Phillips.

Notre Dame DL Jerry Tillery

Tillery is somewhat of a tweener in a 3-4 defense, fitting best as a defensive end. He’s a similar size to Ndamukong Suh so he could play nose tackle if needed, but he’d likely be a defensive end in Los Angeles.
