NFL combine: Notre Dame players lost it while watching Miles Boykin’s blazing 40-yard dash

Former Notre Dame wideout Miles Boykin wasn’t regarded as one of the top wide receivers in the 2019 draft class when he arrived in Indianapolis for the NFL combine, but his stock is spiking after two impressive performances in the 40 and the vertical leap.

Boykin, who measured 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, clocked a 40-yard dash time of 4.42 seconds, the sixth-fastest of all players to run so far, and the fifth-fastest of all wide receivers. His former Notre Dame teammates were watching Boykin run from the locker room, and they celebrated as if the team had just won a national title.

Boykin also showed off some ridiculous leaping ability. He posted an 11-foot, 8-inch broad jump, and recorded a 43.5-inch vertical. Both results are among the best ever at the combine.
