NFL.com singles out Nick Bosa as potential All-Rookie

All of these prognostications and conversations prior to any live games in the NFL mean about as much as a Publisher’s Clearing House mailing, but they’re still fun to talk about. By now you know former Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa is expected to make some noise this year — even as a rookie. He was the No. 1 prospect on a lot of teams’ big boards for the draft, and for good reason. It might take him some time to get his feet wet, but there are some out there that think he will make an immediate impact. NFL.com is one such place.

According to Chad Reuter, he is expecting Bosa to be on the NFL’s All-Rookie team as an edge rusher. He writes the following:

Bosa’s production will be greater if the 49ers trade one of their previous first-round picks, Solomon Thomas or Arik Armstead, before the season. Still, the former Buckeye is going to make a big impact when he’s in the game, even if those players are still around. Bosa’s been off the field since September due to injury, but that won’t matter. He might not get 10.5 sacks as a rookie like his brother, Joey, but his presence will be felt.

Count us in the same camp that’s expecting a lot from the younger Bosa. He has the tools to be an All-Pro in the not-too-distant future. and it’ll be exciting to see him hit the ground running this year.
