NFL.com’s Shaun O’Hara predicts winner of Dolphins QB competition

The Miami Dolphins enter training camp this week with a complete free-for-all melee awaiting quarterbacks Josh Rosen and Ryan Fitzpatrick. These two will go play for play in hopes of convincing head coach Brian Flores that they should be the one to be under center as the starting quarterback when the Dolphins face off against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1.

The expectation for Dolphins fans after organized team activities (OTAs) this spring? That Ryan Fitzpatrick is going to nail down the starting gig — at least to begin with.

But NFL.com’s Shaun O’Hara has come out with a prediction of Miami’s quarterback winner, and he’s choosing to go the opposite direction. O’Hara predicts Josh Rosen will win the Dolphins’ starting quarterback job outright.

“Josh Rosen’s gotta find a way to take care of the football,” said O’Hara. “But I’m going to say that Josh Rosen is the best choice. Fitzpatrick can sling it, but Rosen is the better passer.”

Thankfully for Dolphins fans, the time for speculation is over. In just a few days, these two will be back on the field and looking to prove their worth to the organization before Miami’s challenging 2019 gets underway.
