NFL.com ranks Vikings 2020 draft class third, gives them an A

Minnesota had 15 picks and added plenty positional value. There’s no telling what will happen to the team in the 2020 season, but on paper, many fans and outlets are a fan of the Vikings’ draft.

NFL.com is the latest outlet to give the team high marks for its draft. Gennaro Filice and Dan Parr compiled draft class rankings for all 32 teams. They gave the Vikings an A, and ranked them third out of 32 teams.

“At this moment — days after the picks were made and long before anyone’s set to take a real, live NFL snap — I think Rick nailed it. And not just because he made half the picks in the entire draft. (OK, 15 to be exact.) The Vikings’ first three selections could very well produce three Day 1 starters.”

LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson and TCU cornerback Jeff Gladney — the team’s first-round picks — both seem like candidates to start. Ezra Cleveland, the third player taken, seems like he might need a while to prove he can hold down the starting tackle spot.

The only two teams ahead of Minnesota on the list were Baltimore at No. 1 and Dallas at No. 2.
