NFL changes time and TV network of Rams-Seahawks in Week 16

The NFC West will most likely come down to Week 16 between the Rams and Seahawks, with the winner of that game having a great chance to win the division. And with it being such a pivotal matchup, the NFL is making some scheduling changes.

The league announced on Monday that Rams-Seahawks has been moved from 1:05 p.m. PT to 1:25 p.m. PT, and rather than being broadcast on CBS, it will now be carried by FOX. It won’t make a difference for the teams themselves, but it could have an impact on how many fans get to watch the game.

With Eagles-Cowboys being the only other game at that 1:25 p.m. PT time slot, it’s possible that Rams-Seahawks will get the FOX “America’s Game of the Week” treatment, which would mean a bigger TV audience, as well as Joe Buck and Troy Aikman being on the call.

Rams-Seahawks would’ve been a good candidate to flex into the Sunday night spot, but that’s being occupied by Titans-Packers, which is also an intriguing matchup that’s unlikely to be bumped from prime time.

If the Rams beat the Jets and then knock off the Seahawks in Week 16, they’ll be crowned NFC West champions.
