NFL cancels annual league meeting due to coronavirus concerns

The NFL announced that it has canceled its annual March meeting amid coronavirus concerns, the league announced Thursday.

Following the indefinite suspension of action in the NBA, NHL and the NCAA tournament, the NFL has followed suit with the cancellation of its annual meeting in Palm Beach, Fla. from March 29-April 3.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the subjects of that meeting will be pushed to May, where general managers and coaches are also expected to be in attendance.

But, that’s not for certain considering the uncertainty of the coronavirus and its long-term effects on the sports landscape.

While there’s no confirmation, there’s a belief that the NFL Draft will also be impacted. There’s no formal plan that has been developed, but the league is monitoring the growing threat of the coronavirus.
