NFL bettors everywhere are furious the Bears didn’t attempt an extra point after last-second touchdown

Remember back in 2018, when the NFL made a rule about teams not needing to kick extra points after late touchdowns if it doesn’t affect the score? That came after the Minneapolis Miracle, which was followed by a kneel-down by the Minnesota Vikings for a meaningless PAT.

And this has happened before with the Chicago Bears! Remember the Wild Card loss to the New Orleans Saints earlier this year?

With the Vikes up 17-3 over the Bears on Monday night with ONE second left on the clock, Justin Fields threw a touchdown pass to Jesper Horsted. It was meaningless for the outcome of the game, so no extra point try or two-point conversion needed.

But for bettors? If you had Bears +7 or Bears +7.5? I think that qualifies as a bad beat:
