NFL approves Raiders stadium lease in Oakland

It’s officially official. The Raiders will play football in Oakland in 2019 as the NFL has approved the team’s stadium lease, according to Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Per Gehlken, the team is now able to start ticket sales and the league can begin scheduling the 2019 season as the Raiders will now have a stadium.

It hasn’t been announced yet where the team will play in 2019, but the expectation is that their Las Vegas stadium won’t be ready until 2021. Expect the Raiders to go through this process once again next offseason.
