Even if the fans are feeling a little leery about the Raiders’ playoff hopes after the team’s 43-6 loss to the Falcons on Sunday, the NFL seems to still think they will be fighting for a playoff spot come week 16.
On Monday, the NFL announced the Raiders vs Dolphins in week 16 will appear exclusively on the NFL Network on Saturday, December 26 in the primetime slot at 5:15 pm Pacific Time (8:15 ET).
Last week, the Raiders and Dolphins were both sitting at 6-4. While the Raiders lost to drop to 6-5, the Dolphins easily handled the hapless Jets to improve to 7-4. The Raiders face those same Jets next week.
Both the Raiders and Dolphins are hovering around the playoff bubble at the moment and that could still be the case by Week 16, making for a good Nationally televised game. That game would be all the better should the Raiders rebound from their embarrassing loss in Atlanta to play more like they had in the first ten games of the season.
