Now that the draft is over, the players selected by the Detroit Lions get a few days to catch their breath, make some logistical planning and get ready to appear as members of the team for the first time.
They don’t get long. The NFL released the official dates for all the rookie minicamp dates for teams, and the Lions will hold their 3-day event on May 10-12 at the team training facility in Allen Park.
Most teams are holding the rookie minicamp that weekend. The league set up either of the first two weekends in May for teams to hold the minicamp.
Following the rookie minicamp, there are three sets of 2-day OTA workouts for the Lions players, both rookies and veterans. Those kick off May 20th.
