The NFL announced the date and time on Tuesday for the Week 15 matchup at Lucas Oil Stadium between the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans. The game will be held on Sunday, Dec. 20, at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS.
Initially, the schedule for the Colts had this game listed as TBD. This typically happens as the league tries to figure out its programming schedule for the Saturday games.
Even though the Colts are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now, the league decided that the Bills vs. Broncos and Packers vs. Panthers matchups will be played on that Saturday.
As no surprise, the Colts won’t be getting another prime-time game this season unless the NFL flexes them to a Sunday night game over the course of the next month. But that’s a development that remains to be seen.
Instead, the Colts and Texans will play an afternoon game at Lucas Oil Stadium as the playoff intensity heats up in the AFC.
