NFL announces Broncos’ finalized preseason schedule

The NFL announced a tentative preseason schedule for the Denver Broncos in April but some of the dates and times were left as “TBD.” On Wednesday, the league announced a finalized preseason schedule for 2019.

Because owner Pat Bowlen and cornerback Champ Bailey are going into the Pro Football Hall of fame this year, the Broncos were one of the teams selected to play in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. That means Denver will have a fifth preseason contest this summer.

Here’s a look at the Broncos’ preseason schedule:

HOF Game: vs. Atlanta Falcons, Aug. 1 at 6 p.m. MT
Week 1: at Seattle Seahawks, Aug. 8 at 8 p.m. MT
Week 2: vs. San Francisco 49ers, Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. MT
Week 3: at Los Angeles Rams, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. MT
Week 4: vs. Arizona Cardinals, Aug. 29 at 7 p.m. MT

The team’s preseason opener against the Falcons will be nationally televised on NBC and the “Monday Night Football” clash against the 49ers will air on ESPN. The team’s three other preseason contests will air on KTVD-20.

After facing the Cardinals in their preseason finale, the Broncos will have two days to trim their roster. Denver will have until 2 p.m. MT on Saturday, Aug. 31 to go from 90 players down to 53 players.
