NFL analyst ranks Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger No. 6 in the NFL

When his NFL career is over, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is a near lock to make the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He holds every major statistical record in franchise history and he enters the 2019 season as the No. 6 passer of all time.

This number is significant because this is the same rank NBC Sports analyst Chris Simms gave Roethlisberger among current NFL quarterbacks for the 2019 season.

Simms’ list has Roethlisberger ahead of names like Drew Brees and Tom Brady as well as Cam Newton and Matt Ryan.

Roethlisberger is coming off one of his best seasons as a pro. In a year when the Pittsburgh offense became almost completely one dimensional, Roethlisberger shined. He threw for 5,129 yards and 34 passing touchdowns. There have only been 11 seasons of more than 5,000 passing yards in NFL history.

Where do you rank Roethlisberger among this season’s crop of quarterbacks and is there a quarterback in the league you’d take over Big Ben this season?
